Hello:
I'm interested in purchasing an authorized version of Crosstown please. If you have one for sale in good condition with instructions, would you kindly please PM me with details and asking price shipped in the Continental US? Many thanks!

You can get one from Ronjo for $7.99.
I don't know if it's an "authorized" version (whatever that means)

Good news ...
It looks like Jack Miller Enterprises is back in business.
I would get a Crosstown from them.

Thanks, Brad-- It looks like their shop is down, but I'll reach out. (By "authorized", I meant I wanted to do the right thing and not purchase a knock off).

The shop is there, but all but three things are listed as 'out of stock'...

I would question whether anyone could claim exclusive rights to this trick at this point in time.

You may be right, RK. Does anyone know who the original creator was?
I've always wanted Crosstown because I specifically remember reading that Genii issue where Ed Mishell reviewed it--couldn't afford one back then when I was a kid. Also, Leslie Melville's routine came across my desk recently (thanks, Q!) which renewed my interest.
On a related note: when Tannen's was first selling these, was the plastic rod black or white? (I've seen pictures of both)

Not sure about the color of the rod. After the age of 12 I ignored paddle tricks.

Re: WTB Crosstown please
I know what you mean--I haven't focused on paddle tricks for the last few decades, but sometimes I just want a nostalgic toy to play with.
Did some homework: In Genii, Volume 39, pg 482, there appears the original ad for the trick. The trick was apparently created by none other than the late Jim Zee. The ad includes endorsement quotes from Ed Mishell, Sam Schwartz, Derek Dingle, and Bob Elliott. (I think I read somewhere that Mr. Zee was close with Mr. Dingle.) The original color of the rod was solid white.
I bought some custom Okito boxes from Mr. Zee just before he stopped making them. He was super pleasant, really helpful, and made it clear (in a nice way) that he wanted to see his stuff used well. I also seem to remember that he made some really beautiful close-up tables--one of which appeared in many of the L & L videos.

I have this item which I purchased many years ago when it 1st came out. The rod is white. The instructions state another quality release from the magic workship.
