Dick, You might mention to Frank not to post the beeper with a battery.
Batteries are now prohibited to be posted in many countries.
If the package is scanned and found to contain a battery, they may blow it up.

Are you referring to lithium ion batteries? There's no problem with mailing packages containing regular batteries in the US.

I often use the parcel2go.com site for packages over 2Kg. They represent multiple carriers.

This is on the site: When your parcel reaches customs it will be scanned and rejected if it contains any form of batteries. The cost of rejected parcels will be charged to the sender.

Some carriers may permit regular batteries but better not risk it, especially for international shipments,

Many thanks, Quentin & Richard, In the meantime I have informed Frank Bemelman about the risk of posting a package that contains a battery and I'm sure he is now aware of this and will take his precautions.

BTW….Fair warning…these auctions with the Tommy Wonder items are closing now very soon…happy bidding! :)
