Query - The Annals of Conjuring

Just inviting comments on whether original magazine sections of "The Annals of Conjuring" (S W Clarke) are still desirable collectables, or whether the publication of the complete set has made collecting the originals unnecessary.

Definitely, the republication of the material, both by Magico Magazine (with Bob Lund's index) and later the beautiful and greatly expanded edition by Todd Karr's Miracle Factory, made the original magazine version less "in demand", since the information was then readily available. Both those editions are out of print and going up in value, so that make make the original magazine version more valuable as well. But in general, magic magazines have taken a hit as collectibles with the inexpensive and wide availability of relatively inexpensive digital versions, that take up less shelf space. The good news is that it is probably easier to put together a file of the issues in which this ran at a modest cost.
