R. Paul Wilson had a trick called CANISTER JURY in MAGIC magazine.

It was a variation of a Sadowitz trick. And I am pretty sure it was the 'Dalby's Brag Stack' effect that was varied.

But I cannot remember for sure.

Anyway - just want to give you that pointer since it is something else to look out for.

In fact - I just did a search on GOOGLE and found this information (on The Magic Café) which will be of interest.

----------------------------------
R. Paul Wilson published related material (and gives the relevant references to 'The Crimp') a few years ago in MAGIC magazine. Check out: 'Vested Sand' and 'Canister Jury'. They can be found in the May 1998 issue of MAGIC magazine (Vol. 7 No.9) - Karrell Fox is on the cover...
----------------------------------

----------------------------------

The Brag stack appears in The Crimp No15 and is a thing of real beauty.

That fact that no-one knows it is even better.

Before I devoted my life to this stack, Marlo's Two Shuffle Cull from "The Card Magic of..." kept me busy. As did the work in "Thanks to Zarrow".

Both of these works deal with the issue of having to look or glimpse at the cards before and during the shuffle, but the Major hit the nail on the head.....ask Vernon. It made him cry!
----------------------------------

All the best,

Joe

Hi Joe,

Many thanks for the pointers! "Thanks to Zarrow" is in my list of "wants". I am trying to device my own way of culling/locating after a face up ribbon spread mixed with various shuffles. I have the complete set of Marlos riffle system manuscripts plus some other very rare manuscripts. I just want to get my hands on as much info as i can!

While Thanks to Zarrow is hard to find, there is similar information scattered around. If nothing else, this post prodded me to look up Vested Sand and Canister Jury again :)

Magic Magazine May 1998. "Canister Jury" is an anagram for . . . . (obscene).
