Levit Wand - step inside Stephen Levit's workshop!

Postby Jonathan Levit » October 30th, 2009, 7:03 am

I have just posted some new photos and video of my father in his workshop, crafting a new Levit Wand! He's making a pocket Signature Wand. This is a new offering and should be on the website soon. The videos and photos are there now. You can see him go through the process from beginning to end.

Just go to the site and click on the link on the first page (the blue starburst).
Here's a direct link:

And don't forget to get your order in for the holidays. Orders placed before December 1st will ship by December 15th.

Thanks for having a look!

Jonathan,

As a photographer myself I must complement you on the high quality of the photographs you just posted. I especially liked the close up images of the wands being turned on the lathe.

Did you do the product shots of the wands also? Beautify photography of beautiful, unique wands. Thanks for sharing.

David

Photo 18 is my favorite. You can see the wand emerging from the rough block of wood.

It reminds one of the old saying about a sculptor uncovering the art inside the block of granite by slowly chipping away.

Thanks, David. Yes, I do the product shots as well. The difficulty is capturing the beauty and luster of the wands. Not an easy task, and not always achieved.

Thanks for the kind words!

Thanks to all of you for taking a look at the photos! I also like shot 18. I also like shot 23. You can really see my father working and doing it all by hand. I think it says it all.

Have a look at the video too! It's fun to see the wand come together from beginning to end.
