Vintage Sucker Die Box

Postby Glenn Farrington » October 20th, 2008, 9:10 am

I picked this up in Europe years ago from a collector. I've been told that this is probably an early Davenport Die Box.

It's a varnished black painted wood. It has a great sucker sound and the matching chimney with the gimmiked die as well. The die for the box is a solid block of wood. This set can easily still be used as a working set. The gimmicked die in the chimney is a six spot die that is missing four spots - the spots on the solid die and the gimmicked one in the chimney are just paper circles...that I would remove anyway and either put new ones on or paint new ones on. Even though I'm sure a collector would want this, it's my hope it goes to someone who would use it. Anyway...that's why I'm pricing it low.

Glenn,
I may be interested in this Die Box, That is if we can wrap up the Card Sword deal first.
