WANTED: GENII 12/03 -- CRISS ANGEL ON COVER

Postby WordsonWings » March 23rd, 2008, 8:02 pm

I am looking for the Genii December 2003 Issue with Criss Angel on the cover. It has shown up at Ebay twice this week, and I am having a problem obtaining it.

If anyone has a copy of this and it is in good condition (I don't care if it's used) and will be sold for a reasonable price, I would really love to hear from you.

Anyone reading this, thanks.

What do you consider a reasonable price?

What has it sold for on eBay ... okay, you probably don't want to tell us that.

The first auction there were 3 different bidders only, that ran it up so high.

The current auction, there are only 2 bidders, the same 2 bidders that lost out on the first auction.

I would doubt that another auction for the same magazine issue will produce anything like the current results.

It only takes 2 people who want the same thing, to run an auction price up,,, but if there is only 1 bidder, it will sell for more realistic price.

I didn't post here to be slammed on here for being a fan. If you don't like someone, fine, doesn't mean they don't have people who do like them.

I came on here to get a better response than friggin ebay.

:/
I'm one of those bidders -- I had no idea it would be such a pain in the arse to get this thing -- or the other two I had been looking for.

As far as reasonable prices go, I consider between $5 and $60 reasonable.

Sorry to take up your time. :(

I used to have that issue. I think I threw it away. Hind sight is 20/20 I guess.

Threw it away?!?!?

HERESY!!! Traitor!!! Off with his head!!!

Seriously, i'm not talking at all about Angel, but why would you throw any Genii magazine away? I keep them all!! I wish I had been a subscriber sooner. I saw RK at a conference a few years ago, and he asked me if I were a subscriber, I said no. He said, oh you have to be. I wasn't so sure. My first thought was, he must just want my money, little did I know at the time, he was giving me a gift! That THE BEST DECISION I've ever made in magic.

Thanks Richard!!!

ps...next time send it to me!! :)

Not everyone has the room to keep piles of magazines. When I was a kid, and lived in a very small apartment with my mother, I didn't have any room. I tore out the pages of Genii that had tricks I liked and pitched the rest.

Yeah, I've kept all of the Magic magazins and Genii magazines I've bought over the past 15 years that had items that I wanted to keep but Richard is right. I actually have lots of interests, magic only being one of them, and I enjoy reading magazines. But I really don't have the space to keep every issue of every magazine I buy. It's even harder now that I'm married. Those of you who are married I'm sure can relate.

I have saved every issue for the past 38 years, and plus I bought all the back issues going back to number 1.

Are you guys trying to clue me into why it might be that I have 3 ex-wives?

We should form a support group. Who knew, wives had different ideas about what to do with our magazine stash than keep them nealy on shelves throughout the house!!
Peace, Joe
