Bendix Bombshell Wallet
This wallet seems to be out of production. I'm interested in buying one if anyone has one for sale.

Bob,
Here's a used one listed on eBay for $99.99. Seller says it was "never used in performance." Six U.s. bucks economy shipping.

Re: Bendix Bombshell Wallet
Gentlemen:
Thank you for all the replies.
After some considerable research, I think I've discovered the wallet that is superior to the original Bendix Bombshell in every way possible.
It is Tony Miller's I Don't Know Wallet. He described the wallet to me and I asked him what he was calling it and he said, "I don't know." For the purposes of this review, I'll refer to it as the IDW Wallet.
It is NOT a Himber wallet but it does everything the original Bendix Bombshell wallet does plus a whole lot more. Here is why it's so great.
1. A genius design: Tony is the Einstein of leather, the Ayatollah of cowhide.
2. It looks like a hip pocket wallet, not like the large, thick Bendix wallet.
3. It's svelte.
4. There is no zippered compartment but there is a a closed compartment with a snap. This is so much cooler.
5. It is beautifully made of black leather.
6. It has a 16-card index built in.
The Bendix wallet is, to be frank, when compared to this wallet, like comparing a horse (Bendix) to a car (Miller). The other problem with the original Bendix wallet is that it was designed for bridge-sized cards: using poker-sized cards can cause problems extracting the card from the zippered compartment.

Re: Bendix Bombshell Wallet
Is this an evolution of Tony's "Hip Pocket Bombshell"?

Re: Bendix Bombshell Wallet
In digging through my collection of wallets I cam across a Proust Himber wallet. See:

I recall I bought this from Repro Magic some time in the mid 1970s. It's in mint condition having never been used.
Anyone have any idea as to value?

Re: Bendix Bombshell Wallet
I've now found out courtesy of a Proust expert that the wallet goes for $1,000! This is probably the first time a wallet is worth more than what is in it. I'm selling it for $500 along with a copy of the instructions.
