The Great Marlo and Gergina

Postby Q. Kumber » July 11th, 2023, 3:25 am

Ian Fenn on Facebook posted: "Hello, my research on radio magic suggests that an act called 'The Great Marlo and Georgina" appeared on BBC radio during the 1950s. However, they do not appear in the BBC Programme Index or Ask Alexander."

Subsequently he found two links:

A Pathé news piece: https://www.britishpathe.com/asset/81264/

and https://genome.ch.bbc.co.uk/833e3b91d3f ... v23KEdZQ9Y

Ian also adds: I have an email out to the Great Marlo's grandson, but I wondered if anyone here has any knowledge of the pair? I am grateful for any information or references you can provide. Thank you.

They show up many times in Britishnewspaperarchives. Perhaps his local library has a subscription so he can read the articles, or he can purchase one himself.
