Linking Ring through 1935

Postby Ravenspur » February 1st, 2023, 12:14 pm

Hi,

I'm researching Dr. I.R. Calkins, a past national president of the Society of American Magicians (1936-1937). I've subscribed to the Conjuring Arts, but I've run into a road block.

Calkins was a president of the Springfield, MA Ring of the IBM in 1931. I'm trying to figure out when he started with them and when he was a elected to that position, but lack access to the Linking Ring issues from that time. I can't afford to join the IBM. I'm already in the S.A.M.

Any suggestions? Could IBM members search the Linking Ring archives for Calkins and let me know if there are issues worth me trying to obtain?

Thanks,

Mark

First name, Irving.
There are six pages of references to "Calkins" on Ask Alexander, including many in The Linking Ring, but in The Sphinx before that.
You can't use periods in your search. Just search "Calkins"
