"Danny Dew Paul Fox Cups" tooling for sale!?

Postby Robert77 » August 16th, 2022, 9:30 pm

Something I never thought I'd see. I do wonder a bit about the provenance since it's from "Jacob Junior" on a facebook group called Antique and Collectible Magic. He's asking $8,900.

How many die sets did Danny Dew have?

There's probably some story behind those cups, a regular set is selling in the 3-500 range.

He is not selling cups. He is selling Danny Dew's tooling to MAKE the cups. It was purchased from Potter and Potter during the Busby auction.

Ahhhh, there we go, some provinance. From a collectors POV it might be worth it to someone, but for actual use I can see no way a buyer could recoup their investment.

Sorry, my bad, I noticed tooling after I responded. Too early. I wonder how many versions of tooling there was?
