Juan Tamariz biographical material

Postby mirrorstage » February 15th, 2022, 10:19 am

I'm looking for biographical material about Juan Tamariz (and historical information about the Spanish school in general). I have the Genii 10/02 issue and the Linking Ring 9/93 issue, both with Tamariz on the cover. I've also looked at Genii coverage of Ascanio, Benatar, Pareras, DaOrtiz, and Aragon, though I'm particularly interested in Tamariz, and in biographical and historical content rather than technique or theory. Strong preference for English. If anyone has any leads I'd be very grateful!

Unfortunately, (as far as I know) there are not any specific book about a Tamariz's biography (yet), not even in Spanish.

All we can know about Tamariz's personal history life, at the moment, is by his own comments in his own books, inteviews (there are so many, only most of them in Spanish), articles, reviews and comments by people who know him well.

If I were a professional writer I would love to devote my time to write his biography, as I consider myself one of his greatest fans, but I guess one day someone will do it; maybe Tamariz himself.

Thank you Paco! Do you have any suggestions of which sources in Spanish?

This interview from April 22th 2019, published in one of the most popular Spanish newspaper, "El Pais," is quite informative:

Anyway, there are many interviews around the Web like this one...
I wish I have time to compile all of them...
