Please, note that the Mysterious Lady had been disclosed back in 2019 in a two-part article by Peter Brunning published in Ye Olde Magic Mag, vol. 5, issues 3 and 4.

Not much to reveal anymore I'm afraid...

Thank you, Marco. And praise to Peter Brunning for having tracked her down! I wish Marc and I had known about his article before we started.

Still, I invite you to read our article. There is quite a bit of information in it that's not in Peter's article, not the least of which is Mr. and Mrs. Hanington's Christian names, and much about their earlier and later lives.

John,

Your article is very interesting and provides some hitherto unknown information: I've passed it to Peter (who had submitted a further article on the ML which I'll publish in the March 2022 issue) and he is grateful for the information you have shared. What I wanted to record was that the first research on the Mysterious Lady was published in Ye Olde Magic Mag, which doesn't seem as known at it should! :-D

John, the article is excellent. Fascinating, superbly written, and exceptionally well-documented. You and Marty did a fabulous job! Once I started reading, I couldn't stop. Thank you!.

Thanks very much for your kind words!

Marc (it’s not the famous Marty Demarest, but another gentleman) and I will update the article in a few days to give Peter Brunning and Ye Olde Magic Magazine “first finder” credit.
