Buster and Magic

Postby Jack Shalom » May 12th, 2018, 12:12 am

You may be interested to view a 15 minute Buster Keaton short called Mixed Magic where Buster plays a magician's assistant. This seldom screened short was made in 1936 after Keaton's silent movie heyday.

Jerry Zolten gave me permission to post a photo of his one sheet from the Keaton film. I think you'll enjoy it:

In this movie, I (as a French) understand better the american accent than the actual accent.

I remember hearing a commentary by Keaton as he described his stunts: "In a way they like magic tricks...some like Chung Ling Foo, others like Horace Goldin...." I only remember it was on a documentary on silient film or silient film comedians.

I have seen ALL Buster Keaton's movies that were released in Spain, but this...
If Richard said he had never seen it before, it must be a real seldom gem to watch.
Thank you so much for sharing, Jack!
