Chung Ling Soo mention on NPR plus video

Postby Richard Hatch » February 10th, 2015, 8:13 pm

Chung Ling Soo received passing mention on NPR's All Things Considered broadcast this evening because he is featured in a "newly discovered" newsreel featuring footage of the S.S. Eastland disaster in Chicago nearly 100 years ago. Alas, although the Eastland footage may have gone under the radar, the Chung Ling Soo footage has been on youtube since March 2012, nearly 3 years now.
Here's a link to the original newsreel from 1916:

The Chung Ling Soo segment begins at 4:30 though you don't see him till 5:19 and then only for about 6 seconds (Same as the youtube footage).

Disappointing, as I was hopping to see new footage of Soo, performing at the Palladium!
