Have you ever worked the Forks Hotel?

Postby Dick Cook » May 21st, 2008, 8:07 pm

Have you ever worked the tables or the bar at Eddie Fechters Forks Hotel? I am putting together a DVD to honor Eddie Fechter and the Forks hotel in Cheektowaga. The DVD will be available at no cost as this is a labor of love. I need your help. If you have a photo of yourself or anyone else working the tables or the bar at the Forks I will put it on the DVD if you will send me a copy. Either email me a copy in highest resolution to magicrcook@aol.com or send me a copy which I can return (providing a return envelope would help). Do not send copies of FFFF performance, as I want performances at the tables or bar only. If you have any pictures of Eddie Fechter anywhere, I would like to put them in also. If you have early pictures of Karl Norman working the bar or tables at the Forks I could use that also. Finally if you have any photos of the Forks Hotel interior or exterior I need them also. I will send you a copy of the DVD when completed. If you are going to mail a copy of the photo, send to my home.

If for any reason you want to call me my telephone number is 440-526-4385.

I promise to make this something of which Eddie would be proud, I need your help.

Dear Dick,

No I didn't, but just wanted to say how much I enjoyed your monologue at FFFF about The Forks. Very moving.

I am putting together a bunch of the photos for Joan Caeser. I will make sure that you get anything I have downstairs or of the Forks.

I never got to the Forks. It was long gone before I got into magic. However, about 3 years ago at a New Year's eve performance, I had a spectator tell me she had been at a bar near Buffalo where the owner did magic and a bunch of his friends were always there doing card tricks and such. The thing that impressed her the most she said was the fact that you could not walk in this bar and have a good time. She said that the fun was contagious.
