John and I are about the same age, about the same height, and about the same weight. But he's a damn sight better magician.

Happy Birthday old boy!

So how does it feel to be half-a-century old?

I still have 5 years from tomorrow to find out. Want to know if it's worth it to keep counting or let them cut me open after I die and count the rings. . . .

Happy Birthday Mr. Carney! I just turned 43 on the 23rd. How old is Mr. Mysto now?

Mr. Cummins--I wouldn't pat myself on the back just yet. You still have to cross the Halloween barrier to make it out of 52...

Happy Belated Birthday John!

... and in addition to the Preparation H warnings, don't eat those nuts Biro is suggesting, at your age, you may end up with diverticulitus.

For me, AARP membership was a bust. All you get is a magazine that makes you feel older than you already do, and a marked increase in junk mail from insurance agents, mortuaries, and real estate agents looking for a quick buck.

I recommend Mr. Carney pretend to be young until he no longer is. The years have been kind to him so far, and I suspect he can pull it off for several more years.

I think.

AARP was created by an insurance company, and it still is unless there was a change recently.
