Carle Germelman

Sometimes I run across stuff . . . .

In 2020, Carle Germelman died, age 84. He had been a family court judge in Virginia as well as having been a magician.

In 1968, though, he had a letter published in the Marvel comic book, Nick Fury Agent Of S.H.I.E.L.D., which at the time was illustrated by Steranko. In his letter, he talks about having run across the name "Steranko" in his old issues of Genii, and surmises that the comic illustrator and card magician/escape artist are the same person. Stan Lee, in his response, seems to be unaware of Steranko's background.
