Harold Taylor's Salt Shaker

Postby ljspen » May 13th, 2022, 1:16 pm

50 years ago I went to a Harold Taylor lecture and he was using a really neat salt shaker.
It was made from glass with a metal cap. The salt was between the double walled shaker and would go into the cap as you shake it. And to release the salt from the cap back into the double walls of the shaker, you would pull up a pin from the center of the cap.

(I know Vernet has a cheap one that’s similar but it’s made of plastic and you have to twist the cap to release the “salt” - which over time clumps up and becomes useless.)

Does anyone know anything about the shaker Harold used? Who made it and if it’s sold by anyone?

Thanks

I believe Harold said it was the Aldini Salt Shaker.
