Actually, Mr Biro,

I don't think he's getting much over here in the colonies -

You are the first person from the United States to have given an update -

I'm sure there are others right on this board - But you're the first to report he's actually been on American TV -I haven't seen any updates on prime time -- It was CBS after all -- But it still counts, I think.

I'm willing to bet that this didn't happen. I bet that one of Blaine's crew started that factoid, and sent it into circulation. A very Houdini-ish tactic.

And even if it did happen, then good for Blaine! And bad for Blaine...

I think it did happen because a man's been arrested and charged.

There was also a report of someone flying a remote controlled helicopter with a hamburger dangling from it up to the box . Now that's cruel (and funny!) :D

Blaine is getting a lot of coverage, but by no means blanket coverage; and lately, only because of people throwing eggs/golfballs/hamburgers/pop-tarts/squirrels/kitchen-sinks etc etc.

It's a shame these sorts of things are happening but I guess inevitable if you pitch up in a major capital city. If he was perspexed-up in New York, I'm sure similar sorts of incidents would also occur.

I was in London over the weekend and took the opportunity to take a look. He's in a good location, on the south bank of the Thames between Tower Bridge and the new City Hall building, and there were quite a lot of people there and the atmosphere was good and friendly. Having said that, it was a Saturday afternoon and the weather was warm and sunny. Blaine seemed reasonably animated - adopting three, (count 'em, 3), different positions in my time there - and smiling and sometimes waving.

Is it magic? No. Performance art? Well, not to my mind. But Blaine is a famous name and people are curious.

I think my four-year old niece summed-up best the mood of a nation: "What's he doing in the box?"

The funniest "attack" on Blaine I heard was about a man who bought the live feed and was watching one night and only saw Blaine sleeping for hours. He decided to go over to the site with a drum and start pounding it to wake Blaine.

I have never seen a magician generate this amount of press.

Actually, they have identified the individual in detail that attempted to cut off his water supply. At least a dozen stories reporting on the incident have appeared online.

So far, my favorite is the story that we posted at the Linking Page today saying that a group of Gay Londoners calling themselves the "Sausage Lovers Society" were planningf to hurl sausages at the box on Sunday.

Other stories reported on the dropping of one of his dirty diapers on the crowd.
