So late that the first copies have arrived in the Planet of the Apes:

The orangutans have banned it as the devil's pawn.

Gorillas are using it for target practice.

The chimps are trying to figure out if Benson could speak.

Chuck Heston is kneeling before the Statue of Liberty: "Damn you Miracle Factory, damn you!!"

Thanks Glenn. I gotta tell ya--I can't remember the last time I've laughed so hard reading the responses. Many of them are wonderful. Mr. Karr is going to have a hell of a time choosing winners...

Only a few days till May 21 and the end of this festival of comedy. The witty Roy Benson would undoubtedly be having a great time reading all the entries himself (by starlight, of course). The first copies are arriving here in LA finally from the printer; the corrections came out perfectly and the book looks superb!

Roy Benson by Starlight is so late that...

...Jay & Diaconis publish the lost chapters of Revelations.

...Historians find the true identity of Erdnase.

...The Indian Rope trick is performed surrounded in Central Park.

...The Chinese Sticks become a legitimate fashion accessory, giving the trick some motivation.

Roy Benson by Starlight is so late that . . .

It is now one of the four horsemen of the Apocolypse.

its totally invalidated the old saying "Better Late Than Never"

That the interest made off the pre-sales will just about cover the production cost overuns.

the new slogan of The Miracle Factory is "Anticipation, it's making me wait oh, oh, oh, oh, oh-oh".

Late? It's not late, it's release challenged.

It's replaced sloth as a deadly sin.

Roy Benson by Starlight is so late that...

...it's snowing in hell.

...it ships on the 12th of never.

...global warming is no longer a concern.

...cockroaches are on the endangered species list.

...it's so late, it's gotten me to thinking ...

1) Da Vinci Code released
2) A book from the "MIRACLE" Factory is said to be "coming," but the arrival is shrouded in mystery
3) The name "Benson" translates as "Excellent son," and "Roy" translates as "regal," paralleling another Kingly, Biblical "excellent son."
4)Anagram "Benson by Starlight" = "Stronger, Saintly Hobby"

More than just a coincidence?

the original hand-written manuscript just went unsold on Zbay, the reserve was not met. A side note in the description said the handwriting was that of Leonardo DiVinci.
