Aha! Look what I found!
Re: Aha! Look what I found!
An all-too-short but fun to read interview with a legendary magician.

All Mark has to do is his Svengali pitch. This will accomplish two things: it might just win the show, and, he'll sell a truckload of decks.
One footnote: the link has links to lists of Canadian magicians. As has been true for years, my name doesn't appear. Apparently I'm an American, like my great grandfather, Cornelius Bickford (Gouverneur, New York).

I did the svengali deck on AGT to no avail. I thought I had better do something else this time!
I did notice that CGT has indeed a tiny few non Canadian acts. A rather good French magician was on last night. I forget his name but then I am getting old.

That they had to explain to the audience what was happening reveals the flaw in this type of screen on screen magic.

It is astonishing stuff but perhaps not too practical in the sense that there are very few venues where you can do that kind of thing. Great for TV but I don't really know where else you can do it.
Re: Aha! Look what I found!
I will be seen on Canada's Got Talent on Tuesday evening on City TV in Ontario. As for other parts of Canada I really am not sure when it is going to be aired. I do realise non Canadians won't be able to view it on television but there will no doubt be video links to the performance
on Facebook, You Tube and all the usual places. I will certainly post a link here at some point.

I’m not convinced it’s even great for TV. They had to tell the audience what they were seeing. Plus it’s just too easy to dismiss EVERYTHING as technologically produced when the core of the act, the most interesting parts of the act, the clearest parts of the act, are the technological moments.

OK. I promise not to do anything technologically produced.

There is a tiny, tiny peek of me in this video. On Wednesday I think there will be a much bigger one.

I was amused to see that the above video is now a TV commercial! I never noticed it until today! Anyway the show is about to start in 15 minutes !
