Kevin Parry recently produced a 50 second video highlighting the 10 types of magical illusions that has been viewed more than 4 million times.
Not actually accomplished using magic, Parry is an animator and uses video editing, but he has an obvious understanding and interest in magic to want to accomplish similar effects. The popularity of the video reflects the public interest in watching magic however it is achieved. Parry notes in a follow-up comment that it has had an "amazing response."

Enjoyed that very much. Unlike many magic videos posted these days that are full of waffle before they get to anything interesting, Kevin gets to the point straight away, keeps you hooked and has a surprise ending, all in 52 seconds.
Thank you Michael.
Thank you Michael.

Very clever ending, as the last effect ensures that people will watch the video a second time!

Update: Kevin created a video explaining how he accomplished his 10 illusions using video editing. Ironically, it did involve an assistant. So more like traditional magic than it might have seemed.
