Magic Book Table of Contents Listings - nearing 7000 books

Postby atkinsod » December 2nd, 2022, 8:04 pm

Just a notice that I've posted a November update to the MagicRef website. It's nearing almost 7000 magic book table-of-contents listings.
As always, if you have a table-of-contents listing (and hopefully a photo of the front cover) for any books not listed, I'd love to add them to the site. It is a free, hobbyist site intended to help you see the contents of a book before you buy it, or to find out where a particular magic effect might be located.
You can use Google to effectively search the site by using a query such as: site:https://magicref.net/magicbooks/ "dai vernon", for example.

The site is here: https://magicref.net/magicbooks/

If you have corrections, suggestions or new contents listings for books not already listed, feel free to email me at "magicref (at) magicref.net, with the (at) replaced by @ of course.

Also, on the main index page, there are a lot of books that I only have a partial listing for - I'd love to be able to complete these. I notice that a few these I've already updated and need to update the index page to indicate that!

Elsewhere on the site is also reference guides to effects such as the Color Changing Knives, Linking Rings, and some others. These guides list many (but certainly not all) of the books, videos, and products for the particular effect. This section is not as up to date as I'd like, but there's only so much time available.

Hope the site is helpful to you.

Also, some other sites where you can find lots of contents listings include:

Denis Behr's Conjuring Archive: http://www.conjuringarchive.com (highly detailed database!)

Magicbooks: http://www.magicbooks.be (need to register; lots and lots of book table of content listings - some are replicated here)

Chris Wasshuber's Lybrary.com (a commercial website but they detail most of their magic books contents): http://www.lybrary.com
