I am sad to report that Haruo Shimada has passed away at age 81.
Not only was he, as a magician/performer, a consummate professional but he was also a very nice man.
I had the privilege and pleasure of meeting him in the seventies and he was very kind to me and I never forgot that.
RIP Mr. Shimada

In this two videos we can watch one of his great performances about one of his most memorable shows (in Chile, 1983 and 1985):

Re: Shimada has passed away
I recieved this news 2 weeks late from Keiley.
Needless to say, I am heart-sick and crestfallen.
Goodbye (for now), Sensei... and, thank-you for everything; and, for being: SHIMADA!
