Randy Pitchford Now Owns The Magic Castle!
This must be an enormous relief for the AMA to have an even ‘friendlier’ landlord

Re: Randy pitchford buys magic castle property
My family has asked me not to talk about much that is going on with sale. This is Randy's desire and we wish to honor. it. About my family, however, I must say this: When West went to tell them she was in love with a magician, I sarcastically thought, "OMG, I just split the infinitive and this is not going to go well." At the time I was perhaps more notorious than famous. That worried me too. They were incredibly fair to me, in fact, trusting in West, they opened their arms. 11 years later my father-in-law, Bill, is one of my best friends.
I have known the Larsen Family for 50 years. I thought of Bill and Irene as my magical parents and their kids as siblings. West and I were married at the Larsen home with all the "Larsens" and the "Glovers" in attendance. Erika was West's Maid of Honor and both Irene and Milt were in attendance. Erika is West's best friend and her daughter, Liberty, is now studying magic and living in our guest home. I know it was West's desire to sell the Magic Castle to someone who wanted to nurture it. In Randy, she found that person. The mood is more like initiating a new family into the Castle Clan... and every castle should have a clan!
The "Glover" Family has always been friendly to Magic Castle and the Larsen Family. Nothing shows it better than turning over the keys to a man who has already shown his love for the art and let's be honest, nobody has a better ancestry... Ladies and Gentlemen Randy Pitchford.

This is really wonderful news and gives me so much hope for the future!
Many thanks to Pitchfords, Glovers, and Larsens for acting together to preserve this important magic legacy.

Just finished the May issue of Genii about this.
I’ve always enjoyed the origin story of the Castle and admired the Larsens for it, it was nice to read more detail.
This story heartened me for a couple of reasons.
1) A handshake deal by a Texan lasted for fifty years.
2) Mr. Pitchford rising to the moment and ensuring the future of the Magic Castle (and Genii) when assuredly he could get a better ROI elsewhere. He truly seems an all around swell guy and without getting too sappy it seems a case of meeting one’s destiny.

How? Email from Richard says it won't be up until Friday.
I checked the online issues portal, and it isn't there.

I received my digital copy today, via the App, with Mr Pitchford on the cover.
