According to Scott Alexander at the Yogi Magic Foundation website, Peter Galinskas, one of the few students of magician/gambler Frank Thompson, has passed away.
For years Peter took select students and taught them card magic in the side room of the Denny & Lee Magic Studio in Essex, and then Rosedale, MD.
Currently there is, as of yet, no publicized funeral information.

I would always stop by Denny & Lees Magic Studio when I was in the area and Peter was
in the shop on more then a few occasions. I sat with him and had some fun sessions.
Peter was passionate about The Expert At The Card Table and absolutely LOVED the book. In one session
we discussed hands off spectator cuts to the aces for a couple of hours and he had some great work on the topic.
