So far.... It's very over-produced but does seem to be thorough, much more honest than normal S&R reporting and has some high quality contributors - Steinmeyer on working with them to create effects, Rick Thomas on the practicalities of working with Cats, their biographer, the USDA agent who investigated, members of the cast that night. I'm enjoying it.

It plays like a Netflix or Showtime Limited Series run. Fox FX American Crime Story meets NPR's All Things Considered. I'm hooked.

Wild Things: Siegfried & Roy

This has to be the most over-produced podcast in magic history. The amount of money thrown at it is remarkable ( finding distant cousins twice removed of an S&R cast member from the 80s or trying to portray their biographer from a book that came out in 1992 as an "exclusive" source is really stretching it. )

The entire focus & marketing has been on 'magnifying' (and given oxygen to) ridiculous theories that were quickly dismissed as fast as they were raised during the actual time. Even just naming the episode "Inside Job" is dangling the sensationalist carrot for listeners that maybe, just maybe the podcast has uncovered the secret plot by a cast member to murder Roy with his tiger or did the Las Vegas police really investigate a right-wing terrorist group that planted pheromones in the theatre?

It really is just a rehash of everything that has come before in previous reports, documentaries etc.

The one positive that has come out thus far - is just how much they were beloved by their employees. Everyone interviewed thus far really reinforced just how much of a 'family' it was backstage and how close everyone in the cast were.

It hasn't yet turned into the 'hit job' some feared it may devolve into ... time will tell.

Goodness that u-turned fast. After some interesting opening episodes it’s just turned into obvious filler and fluff reaching desperately for sensationalism without any direct link - “obviously Siegfried and Roy weren’t responsible for this…. But I have to ask why they didn’t react” is a direct quote from the latest episode which tells a story about a totally different show.
My endorsement is withdrawn; this is just another headline grabbing hatchet job.
