Maybe it's because I just watched the new Bob Ross documentary on Netflix, but now I find myself wondering who is benefiting from this book, and hoping that everything is on the up and up, ethically speaking.

Isn't the "beneficiary" pretty well identified in the description on that web page?
"The gnomes' ambition is handicapped by laziness." Adapted from Charles Bukowski, and clearly evident at http://www.gnominal.com

Ricky Jay's wife is the beneficiary. Says so, as Mr. Hostler notes.

For me, if Conjuring Arts offers it, I trust that all is good and fair.

I happen to be a fan of Conjuring Arts and stand by them. They produce some important printed matter and have an excellent track record as far as I know.

Very much looking forward to this new book. A very pleasant surprise!

My mistake for not reading further down. I'm relieved to see no exploitation here.

And please don't buy Bob Ross merchandise.

In my defense, I was reacting to the pre-order email that I was sent by Conjuring Arts for the book. There was no mention of his wife in it. Only when you click on "Order Now" do you get to the page with that information. But that's a quibble. All the best to Mr. Jay's wife and Conjuring Arts.

I just finished watching the Bob Ross documentary. All I can say is WOW and BUMMER!!

Interesting that Bob’s son Steve kept referring to his dad as Bob and not dad.

No disappointment with this beautiful release! Just as shown in the ad. Big, bold, and top quality. And oh…much care was taken to protect it during transit so it would arrive in pristine condition.

Between this and the Copperfield book, the fall season has been kind in its book offerings to us magic lovers.

Kind of like that and a wonderful approach. It certainly did the trick!

I purchased some used books from a magician a few years ago that were shipped to me.

They were loosely dropped in a sack which was loosely dropped in a box.

I’ll take a mummy anytime.

You didn't buy from this guy https://www.daveloosleymagic.co.uk/did you?
Sorry, too easy.
Effect and method are inextricably linked.
