Who would have envisioned just a few short weeks ago that when "The Illusionists" touring show passed through Houston, Texas, that it would be one of their last for a while. That is what makes this week's episode of The Magic Word Podcast even more special. I am so thankful that I could go backstage and sit in the dressing room of Jonathan Goodwin to talk about the tour and his many escapes over the years. I have not sat down for a full length episode with an escape artist before now, so I was very interested in hearing how and why he got started into this realm of our allied art. He shared not only some of his more scary experiences but also his philosophy on what today's audiences believe and what level of jeopardy or risk he is willing to take then work backwards from there to create his wild escapes.
