How is Simon Lovell doing?

Does anyone know how Simon Lovell is doing? I was looking over some of his old published material and realized I hadn't heard of any current updates. Hope he is doing better.

He lives in the UK. I've heard he's doing okay.

I speak with Simon (via telephone) every week. He's an old friend. He's not too involved in magic nowadays; he concentrates on his art and spends time doing cryptic crossword puzzles (as do I) and watching TV. He uses a walking frame to help him get around -- he had a series of bad falls that left him with metal in his arms and legs He misses the U.S. but had to move back to the U.K. because health care is free (National Health Service) and social care is better than in the U.S. His spirits seem to be good and he's got friends including Lee Asher who visit him regularly. He's as acerbic as ever and very funny. He misses his buddies in the U.S. and he's mostly housebound because of his injuries, but is holding up well, I think. I sent him my copy of "Strange Cures" by Rob Zabrecky, which we both loved. .

Thanks, all, for the updates--I'm very glad he's getting along. I only met him once, but he was very kind to chat with me about his material. So funny and a great performer!
