Joe -- thanks for the heads-up. Although I read the Genii review of Lap, I promptly forgot it. Then I saw Yann Frisch go through and explain his routine in detail at MagiFest in January, and wished that the lecture had been documented in notes or video. It turns out that it had.

Just wanted to add this: the DVD's arrived quickly and they were in good shape. However, the DVD slipcase and the DVD case itself were crushed at the top. I inquired about this, and Tannen's informed me that part of the reason there is such a steep discount on the set is because all of the DVD cases in their remaining stock are damaged.

It's still a great deal, but I did want to mention it since the above is not included in the listing on their website.

In addition to Mnemonica Miracles, Tannen's also has on sale Juan Luis Rubiales's 4 DVD set OLÉ (for $40). While I generally think that these multi-DVD sets from the Essential Magic Collection are pretty good, I was looking in back issues of Genii, Magic, MUM, and the Linking Ring and elsewhere for a review, and wasn't able to find one. Can anyone here say something good or bad about the set?

No idea why we didn't review it. It might be possible that no review copies were sent out.
