Hundreds of friends gathered in Las Vegas on April 9th at the Penn & Teller Theatre to honor the legendary Johnny Thompson. The service that was intended to be about an hour and a half with 18 speakers actually ran a little over two hours. But the attendees could have stayed all night and everyone in attendance could have shared a personal recollection of Johnny.
I did not think it appropriate to walk around and capture audio sound bites from the attendees, though it would have been nice to have the recollections of many who were there recorded for historical and posterity reasons. But before the service began earlier in the day, and later at the bar, I did chat with a few people which I posted in a raw, unedited, explicit podcast. You can hear some stories from Daniel Garcia, Fielding West, Nick Lewin, Dave Magee, and Ray Anderson in this special, unnumbered podcast. If you visit the website, you will also see several photos I took that evening, too.
You can visit the website, see the photos, listen online and download the MP3 file at: https://www.themagicwordpodcast.com/sco ... y-thompson Of course, this special edition podcast is available on all podcast platforms: iTunes, Spotify, TuneIn, iHeart Radio, Spreaker, and many, many more.
And although I audio recorded the entire service, it is for my personal enjoyment and unless I am given authorization to release it to the public will remain private. But I understand that eventually the video will be released for the public to view at https://www.tomsoni.co/ so watch for that soon.
Aloha, Johnny.

Re: Johnny Thompson Celebration of Life Service
It was clear from the tributes on the video, Mr. Thompson was very beloved. I enjoyed so many of the stories and the fact that so many people took the time to be there speaks volumes for his impact on their lives. Several of the presentations were quite funny and clever. The website also has some great pictures and press.
