"Looking For Erdnase" a Feature Film in Production by Hans-Joachim Brucherseifer

Postby Scott Wells » March 7th, 2019, 10:53 am

There seems to be an unceasing interest in the mystery of the true identity of the author of "Expert at the Card Table". There is now yet another effort to bring this mystery to life on screen in a documentary. Hans-Joachim Brucherseifer is a German filmmaker who is taking a little different approach in his film by making it a "docu-drama" which means that rather than just having interviews with scholars and researchers on the subject, he is also filming scenes of what the situation would have looked like for each person suspected of being S.W. Erdnase. Hans ambitiously hopes to complete this film by year end and is running a Kickstarter campaign now through March 25, 2019 at: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/fo ... rm=Erdnase He discusses the filming, his vision, his struggles, and his successes in this week's podcast on The Magic Word. We also get an update from Jim Davey on the status of his documentary, "The Expert".

You can watch a short trailer from the film in production, see some studio stills, read the blog, listen to the podcast online, and download the MP3 file at: https://www.themagicwordpodcast.com/sco ... cherseifer

I recently opened here a topic about it (viewtopic.php?f=10&t=51482), receiving no answer. It seems strange to me, since it is a great work trying to reach a great goal. We did already interviewed people like Tamariz for hours, talking about things that were never listened to before.

Let's back it up, friends!

Just bumping this. One more week to go and only about a third of the intended sum is in. I think this interesting project deserves a bit more support!

Bumping this again.

35 hours to go, and about two thirds of the money are in. (See link in Scott's post.)

Nice, the financial goal was finally met!

Looking forward to the movie, which should be out by the end of this year.

Erdnasians, stand by!
