Genii Needs a New Writer for "The Eye"
Well, if you read Genii you know that we have a great column called "The Eye," which is a monthly news tidbits. We are looking for someone to take over doing "The Eye" every month. Suggestions below and email me at moobooks@verizon.net. Thanks.

Since you asked for suggestions: if he has the time, I think that Bill Mullins would be superb!
If not Bill, then Dodd Vickers comes to mind.

I believe Dodd is extremely busy, which is why he became scarce around here.
Mr. Mullins has more important things to do!

The former publisher of a magazine that Bill Mullins wrote for 25 years ago will tell you (emphatically) that Bill Mullins does not deal well with monthly deadlines. (But I appreciate the endorsement.)

Re: Genii Needs a New Writer for "The Eye"
Since finding the material for this column can be very difficult/time consuming why not use a bit of psychology to encourage people to contribute to it (and the person chosen to marshal it)?
Who loves credit and seeing their name in print more than a magician?
Why not quasi "crowd-source" the contributions by noting that each contribution will be published with a bit of small text crediting that contribution?
So you'd get a short paragraph containing the text of the item, associated image (perhaps also crowdsourced) with small text, something like "item contributed by C. Aguilar" at the very bottom of each one.
If this is successful in terms of incentivizing provision of usable content, then perhaps the curator of such content could concentrate on putting it together in a nice way for publication rather than laboriously hunting for it.

I'll do it, but every item every month will be about Houdini.
