...on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

At least according to his TV son: https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/t ... -Hollywood

I always liked Bill Bixby as an actor and was surprised to learn he doesn't have a star.

Getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame probably has more to do with someone rounding up $40,000 and participating in the unveiling ceremony than whether the honoree is actually famous.

I don't know if the cost is really up to $40,000...I remember 20+ years ago the tab was supposed to be $6,000. Some have questioned why some movie/TV people who once had notable careers, don't have a star and someone relatively new, but with a PR firm behind them, with the money does.
If true, it is surprising that Bixby doesn't have a star, he is among the few who starred in many series...Courtship...Martian...Magician....Hulk and directed TV episodes as well. I think he was in at least one Elvis movie too.

I remember some people tried to get a star for Aldo Ray, but couldn't raise interest in the idea or the money needed.

He needs a star on the Walk of Fame about as much as he needs a Tony Hassini Merlin award for Magician of the Decade: 1970s.
