Penn & Teller on Late Night With Seth Meyers tonight

Postby Doug Thornton » January 17th, 2019, 7:37 pm

They are scheduled for the show which airs on NBC at 12:35 AM.

Will they mention there's a waiting list for the Genii Convention?
(Probably not, but it would be cool.)

They did, with giant cards ("So Teller can't palm them"), a ten card poker routine. I think it's a Bannon one (?) where you are given a choice between two cards each time. In this case, Seth Myers wound up with a full house, but Teller had a Royal Flush in spades.

Yes, John Bannon's "The Power of Poker."

I believe this goes back to Alex Elmsley's Power Poker.

For a complete and exhaustive explanation, one need only read the Bammo Ten Card Deal Dossier, now, unfortunately, completely out of print.

The trick is David Solomon's but appeared in John's book, "Dear Mr. Fantasy." Bannon and Tomas Blomberg aided in the development.

The original is from Alex Is At It Again. Note the several references there, many of which point to Bob Farmer's already cited compilation.
