Re: Death by Magic - DMC
Saw the first episode. I wanted to be entertained, but I wasn't. It seems like all magic on TV is now the same. Magician walks around doing set up street-esque magic with the final big effect. DMC is competent, but there is nothing original here.

Re: Death by Magic - DMC
I just finished to watch the 10 episodes.
It seems much better than other similar series but it remains that sensation of all of this is settled, nothing is spontaneous and there is a lot of camera / editing help. A lot of the final illusions have similar structure: something going terrible wrong just to discover DMC saved himself in a weird form.
In the other hand I enjoyed some of the presentations, as the Losander's table on the stage where Great Lafayette died. The story about a man died here and his sprit is raising the table is better than just lift it. The story about witchcraft hunters is good. That things were the better part of the show for me. To put the magic in some frame.
