If you are an AMA member and don't regularly read the monthly newsletter, IMHO, you are really missing out. Our former "Dark Overlord" outdoes himself month after month producing a high quality mini-journal that represents the AMA and it's membership in the best possible fashion.

None more so than this month's issue, wherein there appears and important and pointed editorial penned by Jim Steinmeyer. It's rightly addressed to "every Magician Member" and alludes to several recent #MeToo incidents perpetrated by members upon unwitting female volunteers. In the article, he describes one face-plant-inducing occurrence and the messy fallout from it.

We can yip and yap about how this television show, this exposure, etc. harms magic, but ridiculous rubbish like this just kills it.

In any event, if you have access to the editorial, I'd respectfully recommend reading it as it offers timely food for thought and a sadly necessary reminder for far too many.

Kudos to Mr. S for the editorial and to Mr. S for publishing it!
