I recently took a long road trip (over 3,200 miles) from Houston to Chicago then on up to Grand Rapids, Michigan (for the I.B.M. convention), back to Chicago than up to the Wisconsin Dells to see the Rick Wilcox theater. Next it was down to Oklahoma and through Dallas and home again. This was nearly a four week "rebirth" tour for me as the first extended road trip since my wife's passing. Along the way, in addition to having time to think and to visit friends old and new, I recorded conversations with many magicians. Some were posted in the daily updates from the I.B.M. convention and others will be coming in future weeks.

But in this podcast we talk with Clark Brian May who is the proprietor of one of the country's newest brick and mortar magic shop, "Rabbit In Hat Magic Shop". It is an interesting chat as we talk about why he would open a shop in today's world particularly without having an online store to back it!

We also have a conversation with Stuart MacDonald who tells us about his experience of competing at FISM for General Magic. This is an enlightening chat for anyone interested in competing on an international level. And even if you don't plan to compete, it is a good object lesson is preparing for making your dreams come true.
