the most amazing thing about this show is how they invariably take amazing acts and with poor editing make them look at best mediocre.

HAHA!

I couldn't put my finger on why it seems "off." I put it down to all of the audience response seeming to be cut in and fake, disconnected from the performances.

Well, I am glad that I am preceded by others more brave on this. I was hesitating to be the first to post a negative comment. I find it unwatchable.

Lots of good performers, and it's nice for them to get the work, but I actually wonder if this particular exposure actually does them any good. I guess they can put it on their resume and their pr materials, but as an actual demo of what they can do, I can't think of anything more off-putting.

It's sort of inexcusable at this point, in my opinion, since P&T have proved that this kind of butchery is not necessary for television magic to be effective and garner ratings.

The performers are great. But it seems like they are performing their act out of order in an empty room. There's no ...'vibe' with the audience.

The public must like it though. I've heard nice comments from laymen and it keeps getting renewed.
