I was very saddened to learn that with others who have passed away today, Joseph Herzer has passed away as well.
Long time member, supporter, volunteer at The Magic Castle, he and his late wife were very kind, generous, welcoming people, that I will always remember.
Joseph always had great stories...from the many magicians he had seen and/or knew...his military service...his service with the Sheriff's Dept...dealing with the famous to infamous like the Manson family members.
He was always supportive of my research projects and most of all, I consider myself fortunate to have known the Herzers.

Joe and Ingrid were good friends to me for many decades. Sorry to see him go.

Joe always had a kind word and time to talk. I enjoyed the times I spent with him though all too brief. Rest in Peach.

Can you share what Herzer said about the Manson family?
Re: Final Curtain - Joseph Herzer
Joseph didn't say much about the Manson family he transported with other prisoners to and from different jails and courtrooms,
other that they appeared back then, to be uncaring or oblivious of their actions or consequences they were facing for their obedience to Manson.
