STILL TIME TO BOOK FOR BENITEZ LECTURE

SPANISH magician Javi Benitez is to host a unique masterclass next week as a preview event to the 15th annual South Tyneside International Magic Festival.

Javi is one of a number of magicians who will take to the stage at in South Shields over the weekend 15-18 March.

The annual event features a three-day convention for magicians and the most ardent of fans, which includes a packed programme of lectures, demonstrations and public performances.

But before the convention begins, those serious about learning from the best can purchase tickets for Javi’s The Voice of Wonder lecture.

Focussing on how magicians communicate their tricks and effects, and what affect this has on audiences, the lecture is designed to help steer young magicians along the right path as well as helping amateurs and professionals alike.

Also known as ‘Chango’, Javi is one of the most creative and well-respected magicians in the Spanish magic community, and he has performed and lectured all over the world, in countries including India, China, Japan and the USA.

His lecture at the South Tyneside International Magic Festival will be held at The Little Haven Hotel in South Shields from 7pm on Thursday 15 March and must be pre-booked.

This lecture costs an additional £70, and can be booked by calling 0191 424 7823.
