332: Jason Latimer - Inspiring Mystery

Postby Scott Wells » November 24th, 2016, 10:29 am

Where do the award winning magicians go after they have won nearly every major award? Well, in the case of Jason Latimer, he hasn't let any grass grow under his feet since winning FISM for close-up and invention plus, oh yeah, the "Best Overall" Grand Prix. He has gone on to beat our U.K. magicians as the only American competitor on the BBC One's "The Magicians" in 2012. He then went on to be one of the judges in the SyFy Channel's two year run of "Wizard Wars". But what has captured his focus of late has been the pursuit of his passion of science.

It was science that led Jason to magic and not the other way around. He is the curator of the Impossible Science World at the Fleet Museum in San Diego plus he is featured on the Impossible Science Digital Series on Comic-Con HQ. He has a dream of taking this to other museums across the country but he is beginning with one museum at a time in Southern California for now.

You can watch a few videos of Jason in action, see some photos, read the blog, get some links, listen online and download the MP3 file at: https://www.themagicwordpodcast.com/sco ... on-latimer

And since tomorrow is Black Friday, we have a sponsor today who is offering a special deal. Chris Stolz just released "Hiding in the Shadows - the Black Art Book" and is offering a 15% Black Friday discount off of the paperback or hardback edition. Visit http://TheMagicWordPodcasst.com website for the discount code and to get a direct link to his site where you can learn more about the book.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my U.S. friends and listeners.

Cool info.

However, your second link ("http://TheMagicWordPodcasst.com") is misspelled and is returning "can't find server".
