We're a little late because my wife fractured her ankle. But the August issue is already in the mail and I should be able to get the digital issue online tomorrow.

It has appeared as if by magic. (Best wishes to Liz.)
And hear, hear! Thank you, Richard and David, for your critique of the magic shop industry and the lack of DVDs or printed instructions for the newest products.
If they're not included, I'm not buying.

Doug, where did you see the issue? Online or did you receive the printed magazine?

Hi, RK: Sorry to hear about Elizabeth--I hope that surgery isn't needed, that her pain level is tolerable, and that she gets better real soon!

Good to hear, RK!
I also echo Mr. Thornton's comments. In my opinion, to not even provide a DVD of instructions with props is lazy and inconsiderate to the customer. (Ken Brooke must be rolling over in his grave.)
I hope Mr. Oliver, Mr. Regal, and the other reviewers will continue to comment on the quality/format of instructions so that we can make informed purchasing decisions.

Hear, hear! Nearly as bad is a rising tendency to produce DVDs for material that could be more effectively described in print. Jos Denys' Shuffled comes to mind. Fine trick (and in my structural sweet spot)... but riding out the explanation is sooo painfully tedious. Would've made a fabulous manuscript.
