You are likely way too young for this to make sense, but it makes me laugh:

Without looking, must be Arte Johnson in Laugh-In.

Old enough I'm afraid, and I do get the reference, however Rowan & Martin's Laugh In never quite made it over to this side of the pond.

We did get Hogan's Heroes, although the less we say about Bob Crane the better. (BBC's Allo Allo was far better though)

Anyways, back to the books - I know which two I'm after, what about you lot?

I'm doing my best not to set my hopes up, but I am making my list. I admit I am late to the ebook party, but my first love remains the good old fashioned dead tree versions.

Yes, Richard, it was (is) Arte Johnson. I remember two things best about Laugh In and Arte is one of them.

Very interesting....and not at all stupid. Simply wrong.

"Laugh-In" was must see viewing around these hyar parts for what seemed like years, but wasn't. It was however on for some while. Likely one Summer and a bit. Sunday nights, as I recall. So much so that Rowan and Martin did some live spots in the UK. I saw one of them on (I think) "Sunday Night At The London Palladium". Without the "gang" I thought they'd struggle. They were hilarious.

Sock it to me? Sock IT to me? Sock it TO me? Sock it to ME?

My back went out, so have to postpone this until Monday. But I may post the list of titles over the weekend, pain permitting.
