British magician Geoffrey Durham's wife Victoria Wood died today, age 62, from cancer. The couple separated in 2002.

Wood was a comedian known mostly for a sketch comedy shows "Victoria Wood as Seen on TV" and "Acorn Antiques and Dinnerladies."

She is survived by Durham, known for his "Great Soprendo" act and excellent book, and two children. She died in London.

Never heard of her before, but viewing clips on YouTube and reading her obit on the BBC website, she seemed to be an amazingly talented person. 62 is very young

She was very famous in Britain. A celebrity in fact.
