His Erdnase color change technique left something to be desired.

Oh, he isn't the only one. I have seen most people doing it wrong. It is always obvious that they are pushing the card forward. I cringe ever time I see this. I invented a method which I have always kept to myself of avoiding this atrocity.

Hard to explain so I won't bother. It involves beveling the deck at the ends to aid in the illusion. And you tilt the deck slightly downwards at an angle. You would have to see me do it to know what I am talking about.

It really is a superb change since it is completely angleproof unlike many other colour changes. Or at least it should be. Most people do it very badly indeed.

I just watched the video. He would have been far better off using the "French Drop Colour Change" described in one of the Vernon/Ganson card books. It is my favourite colour change and I use it all the time. I usually do the Erdnase colour change as a follow up.
