RENE LAVAND
(September 24, 1928 - February 7, 2015)
My humble tribute to a Grand Master of Magic, Rene Lavand
He was an inspiration to so many in and out of the world of magic. I admired his artistry, respected him as a person and cherished his advice, friendship, and mentorship. Thank you Rene for all you did to elevate magic to an art.
Rest in peace Maestro.

These two special performances of "PURE MAGIC" at the Sparta Avenue Stage will be dedicated to the memory of Rene Lavand. I am adding one more performance piece that is inspired by Rene's work. The piece is not part of the original show program. It is one that Rene and I spoke about over the phone, but I never had the opportunity to actually show him the finished piece in performance.

I have just been informed that the 7:00pm Valentine show is just about sold out.
That said, there are still seats available for the 9:00pm show. If you are planning on coming to the show, I'd lock in on the 9:00pm show before that sells out too. Everyone knows that Valentine's is a special night, come to the show and make the night… PURE MAGIC!

It's Sunday morning and I want to thank everyone who came out and braved the snow and single digit cold temperatures to support the Sparta Avenue Stage for the Special Valentine Show last night. The first show was a full house despite the bad weather and the second show was very well attended. Both audiences were wonderful and generous with their responses. It was truly an honor to perform for them.

I'd like to thank both Diane & Joe Garsetti who have not only created an awesome venue for magic, they are two marvelous hosts and generous to a fault.

Thanks again everyone for an experience I will cherish always.
