iGenii Archive/Search

Postby Travis » January 14th, 2015, 11:16 am

I've been trying to access and use the iGenii search function, but to no avail. Just doesn't seem to work, or even load a complete search page (no fields to fill out, etc.).

I am trying to locate the issue which included a 'Real Secrets' trick involving the spectator walking around town, making choices from laminated cards on a keyring, which then lead them to a predicted location.

Anyone?

I'm afraid I can't be a lot of help except to acknowledge reading it recently and I'm about a year behind on back issues. I would guess mid to late 2013. I opened a couple of issues hoping to get lucky to no avail. Lack of time prevents a more thorough search of each issue.

I think you are looking for "City Walk" in the Oct 2013 issue, p. 82

That's right. There's another option, provided what you are looking for was published after 2001: go here and type "real secrets" in the content field. You will get four results, the last two being the feature articles about Real Secrets that where published back in the August 2012 and the October 2013 issues.

My current desktop is an iMac using Safari and OS X Maverick.

I've never tried the iGenii search function before, so I decided to try this by typing in "Real Secrets" ( use the quotes to eliminate random combinations of the two words ) and the Oct. 2013 issue popped up as the #7 hit. Clicking on the thumbnail brought up the article being sought by the OP.

It therefor does work with Safari, at least for some of us. Apple stuff seems to be inconsistent across their product line. My iPad seems to work differently than others have reported. It's a bit puzzling.

Thanks, guys!

I'm on Yosemite, so maybe it's something to with that (though, I doubt it). More likely just a fluke when I happened to be trying the search.
